Both Thunderants have a real knack for hitting precisely the right notes to evoke the absurd minutiae of the niche groups (one particular favourite of mine is their Feminist Bookstore sketch) they send up in their short narrative vignettes. One of their more recent installments was this gem, a dead on parody of the goodhearted folks who work in animal shelters. As someone who has adopted two dogs from rescue organizations (and spends far too much time poring over the profiles of homeless pooches on websites), I can attest to the fact that Pet Haven comes within a hair’s breadth of the real life culture being parodied.FILM REVIEW: Titanic 3D minute by minuteJames Cameron’s Titanic was always a marathon at three hours and counting.
With 7.5 billion people on earth and with more and more people being desperate for the respect and admiration of others, more and more people are making more and more products and using up more and more resources (which eventually fill up more and more landfills). The over fishing of our seas where fish are packaged, then NOT sold, and eventually dumped is an example of waste at the expense of our natural resources. And as Jared Diamond so eloquently showed in the above mentioned book, every time a nation uses up all its resources, they die out (the people of Easter Island are an example)..
Lane Williams definitely said something important: “Go and Do it”. He told us that we as students of communication have the social responsibility to start to communicate. He said that we should start blogging. The race proceedings started to go downhill around the 25K mark as I started to drop pace and eventually reduced to lengthy stretches of walking. I was momentarily lifted when I spotted Nickgoing strong on the opposite side of the road before the 30K mark, as poised as Meb, and knew it was just a matter of how much he was going to lower his PR. I thought I spotted Seow Ping too but I couldn be sure if it was her until she caught up and motored past me a few kilometres later.
The Phylon midsole did not provide much responsiveness at all, but the forefoot Zoom unit is responsive and provided a bit of bounce back for sure. One thing that I realized when I play in this shoe is how much difference Unlocked Zoom feels compared to normal Zoom. Though the heel to toe transition remains the same, the responsiveness was so different it can be felt whether you’re changing directions or simply just running down the court.
